Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This policy explains what information Beatlibrary, Inc. (“Beatlibrary”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use beatlibrary.io, app.beatlibrary.io and our related services (the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, username, password or sign-in provider, phone number if you add one, and profile details such as artist name, bio, photo and links.
- Music and related content: audio files, stems, artwork, titles, tags, descriptions, license terms and prices you upload or set.
- Payment and payout details: when you buy or sell, our payment processor collects your card or bank details. We receive limited information such as the last four digits, payment status and payout status. We do not store full card numbers.
- Messages: what you send to our support team or through in-app chat, email or text message.
Information from services you connect
If you choose to connect an outside account, we receive only what you authorize:
- Google Drive: we use the Google Picker. We can access only the files and folders you select in the Picker (the
drive.filepermission). We cannot see anything else in your Drive. - YouTube: read-only access (the
youtube.readonlypermission) to your channel details and the list of your uploaded videos. We use it to show your videos’ titles, thumbnails and links so you can match them to songs in your Beatlibrary catalog. We cannot post, edit or delete anything on your channel. - Dropbox: read access to your basic account details (name and email) and to the files and folders in your Dropbox. We only open and import the files you choose, and we do not change, delete or share anything in your Dropbox.
- We also receive your name and email address from the connected account to show which account is connected.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, songs played, downloaded, liked or purchased, and searches.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technology: we and our service providers, including our analytics, advertising and support-chat providers, place and read cookies and similar technology on your device and browser. We use them to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure how the Service is used, measure the results of our own ads, show our ads to people who have visited our sites, and provide support chat. We never use Google user data for this. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not work without them.
2. How we use information
- To run the Service: create your account, host and stream your music, list it for license, process sales and payouts, and deliver purchased licenses and files.
- To import music you choose from connected accounts into your Beatlibrary catalog.
- To protect your music and our users, including checking uploaded audio for duplicates and looking for possible unauthorized uses of your music. To do this, we may send audio fingerprints, and in some cases the audio itself, to service providers that recognize music.
- To communicate with you: service notices, receipts, support replies and, if you have not opted out, product news and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the email, and from marketing texts by replying STOP.
- To understand and improve the Service, fix problems and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Google user data
Beatlibrary’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
- We use Google Drive data only to import the files you select into your Beatlibrary catalog, and YouTube data only to show your own videos so you can match them to songs in your catalog.
- We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer, sell or use it for serving ads, including retargeting and personalized or interest-based advertising. We do not transfer or sell it to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers. We do not use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not transfer Google user data to anyone, except (1) to provide a feature you asked for and consented to, (2) to service providers that process it only on our behalf to run that feature, (3) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (4) to comply with applicable law, or (5) as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and only after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
- Our employees, agents, contractors and successors must follow these limits.
- Our staff do not read your Google user data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is needed for security or to comply with law, or it is aggregated and used for internal operations.
- Files you import from Google Drive become content you have uploaded to Beatlibrary, and our Terms of Service apply to them in the same way as to any other upload.
- If we want to use Google or YouTube user data in a new way, we will ask for your consent first.
YouTube. Beatlibrary uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service, including any feature that uses YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Removing access. You can disconnect Google Drive, YouTube or Dropbox at any time in your Beatlibrary settings. You can also remove Beatlibrary’s access to your Google account at Google security settings and to Dropbox under Settings > Connected apps in your Dropbox account. When you disconnect in Beatlibrary, we revoke our access with that provider and delete the stored access tokens right away, and we delete the other data we stored from that account within 7 days. If you remove our access from your Google account instead, we delete the related data within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete stored data by emailing access@beatlibrary.io, and we will delete it within 7 days. Deleting data we store does not delete anything stored on YouTube; to delete data on YouTube, use YouTube itself. Songs you already imported from Google Drive or Dropbox stay in your catalog until you delete them.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- With other users, as you choose: your public profile, the songs you publish and their license terms are visible to others. When someone buys a license, we share with them the details needed for the license, such as your artist name.
- With service providers that work for us under contract: hosting and database, payment processing, email and text delivery, analytics, customer support chat, search and file processing. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, and prevent fraud.
- In a business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may move to the new owner under this policy.
- With your consent in any other case.
We do not allow third parties to serve advertisements on the Service.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is open. Data we read from YouTube API Services, such as your video list, is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, sales and payout records). Access tokens for connected services are deleted when you disconnect the service or delete your account.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and other safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can view and update most account information in your settings, disconnect connected services, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit certain uses, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We are based in the United States and process information there. If you use the Service from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. If a change concerns how we use Google or YouTube user data, we will ask you to agree before we use that data in the new way. The date at the top shows the latest version.
